In the Netherlands, there are three types of mortgage providers: banks, insurers and 'directing parties'. Directing parties work together with institutional investors so that the mortgage market is also accessible to these investors.
As far as the housing market is concerned, the Dutch Association of Insurers represents the interests of its own members who provide mortgages. But in the form of an associate partnership , various directing parties are also affiliated with the Dutch Association of Insurers.
At the moment, we are mainly concerned with interest-only mortgages and foundation issues.
